When Valerie Proctor graduated from high school in 1983 she started at Tallahassee Community College but it just wasn’t the right time. She got a job, raised a family and when her children moved out she thought it was time was right to go back to school. This past May she graduated from Thomas University and plans to pursue a career in social work. She wants to focus on children with disabilities. Her advice – step out on faith. Nothing makes a failure but a try – that is what her mother always told her.
