Sequoia spent her senior year in South Korea through the Rotary Exchange program. She is studying at TCC now. Korean schooling was much more rigorous than American schools. One of the biggest lessons though was to not be afraid to try new things. She is naturally shy, so she had to push herself to reach out and meet new friends. She admits that you have to go and get what you want - you can't wait for life to come to you.
